Do trees snore? How canopy flow analysis helps to understand how forests breathe
Invited seminar: Atmospheric Science Series, University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Mar 08,2010, 3:30pm
This seminar presents current research findings of two topics: conditional sampling approaches of turbulent motions to measure carbon component fluxes directly, and the spatial structure of wind and temperature fields in the subcanopy of dense forest and its impact on spatiotemporal patterns of horizontal advection of sensible heat.
