Offering new field class in micrometeorology

Students studying the thermal properties of vegetation New class: Starting spring term 2013, the bmM group offers a new field experimental class on state-of-the-art micrometeorological methods to study and quantify the land surface-vegetation-air-soil exchange of carbon dioxide, water vapor, heat, and momentum. The class provides first-hand practical experience with approaches including bulk and gradient approaches, footprint modeling, and the eddy covariance technique. For more information about the class please visit our educational page (link here). This new 4 credit point class is the integrated teaching and research activity of the NSF CAREER award by instructor Christoph Thomas
