Welcome Alex and Ayla to the group!
We would like to welcome our new members to the bmM group:
Alex Smoot joined the group as a graduate student (MS) in the Atmospheric Sciences program and will work on two projects: The Spatial structure of near surface turbulence using a new generation of Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) optical fiber instruments to resolve atmospheric motions near the surface funded by the ARO, and the near-surface transport for weak-wind conditions in plant canopies funded by the NSF.
Ayla Moretti joined the group as an intern to work on installing and operating a weather station near the OSU campus at the Botany and Plant Pathology lab, as well as data analysis and comparison of different air moisture sensors. She is currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in the Environmental Sciences program at OSU.
