Guide to Enrolling at OSU For International Students

Once you have been admitted to Oregon State University and have fulfilled the certification of finances, we will send you receive a letter of acceptance and accompanying documents in the mail within 2-4 weeks. During this time, and leading up to your arrival, we will continue to work with you to make sure your transition to life in the U.S. and at OSU is successful.

1. Obtain Your Student Visa

2. Consider Your Housing Options

3. Schedule Your Travel

4. Learn about OSU’s International Student Health Insurance Requirements

5. Complete the Health History and Immunization Record.  Submit to Student Health Services after
your arrival to OSU.

6. Confirm Acceptance of Scholarship or Assistantship, if offered. Contact the individual or
department that notified you of your scholarship or graduate assistantship.

7. Submit your Intent to Attend OSU and New International Student Orientation RSVP form
electronically.

  • Information will be provided with your letter of acceptance.

8. Begin Classes!  Winter 2008 begins Jan. 7; Spring 2008 begins Mar. 31; Summer 2008 begins Jun.
