The International Students of Oregon State University (ISOSU) will host its annual Spring Festival themed “Hidden Treasures of the World” on Sunday, May 13th 2007 (Mother’s day). The event will be held at the Memorial Union Quad on the OSU campus from 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. It is sure to be an afternoon of excitement and education, and is a perfect way to treat your mom this Mother’s Day or spend an afternoon with family and friends.

Best of all, it’s FREE and open to everyone!!

This international extravaganza will take you from the beaches of Jamaica to the spices of India through music and dance, activities, cultural booths, and foods from around the world.

Join us for energy-filled performances from OSU students and cultural organizations that represent the international students on campus, including presentations from the India, European, and Japanese Student Associations. Also performing will be dynamic acts from artists within the Pacific Northwest, featuring Zimbabwean dancers, Taiko drummers, and much more!

Of course, we cannot forget the food! The afternoon will include delicious items from many regions of the world. Come and enjoy mouth-watering dishes from pickled Indonesian salad to chicken kabobs doused in African sauce to French-style crêpes.
So bring your family and friends on Sunday, May 13th and discover the Hidden Treasures of the World with ISOSU!

About ISOSU: ISOSU provides campus community, leadership and a voice to students at Oregon State University. We are a unique organization that brings together a wide variety of students, including American, multicultural, and international, to raise cultural awareness, promote diversity, and present global issues while also being a ‘home-way-from-home’ for international students.
