I’ll clear out some of the news items that have been floating about here in Corvallis with the promise of a full report of the PNACAC conference and our presentation to come.

Admissions:

We have finalized a long time in coming Degree Partnership Agreement with Clackamas Community College.

ATDs for the fall are still being accepted. Remember that you must attend a START program to officially enroll and register for classes, you must pay your ATD to attend START.

Academics:

Very important findings and accomplishments by OSU faculty and students have been in the news recently. Oregon cheeses have arrived on the national cheese scene, the OSU Wind Ensemble will perform at Carnegie Hall this summer, and acidified sea water upwellings are creating a huge problem for Pacific Coast marine life.

Athletics:

A great story on CNNSI.com about new hoops coach, Craig Robinson and Saori Haruguchi has qualified for the olympics in the 200 m Individual Medley.

If your destination is the winner’s stand at an NCAA women’s swimming championship, you can get there from here.

Junior Saori Haruguchi became Oregon State’s first national-champion swimmer this past Saturday by capturing the 200-yard butterfly in a school-record 1:52:39. And the excitement from that victory continued to build on Monday, when she resumed workouts at the Osborn Aquatic Center in preparation for the April 15 Japanese Olympic Trials in Tokyo.

Congratulations to Saori Haruguchi, All American and National Champ!
