Just got a link in my inbox letting me know that our colleague, Danté Holloway, was quoted in the Spanish Language Section of the Santa Fe New Mexican called La Voz De Nuevo México.

“Cuando busquen una uni­versidad, los estudiantes deben preguntar qué tipo de apoyo al estudiante ofrecen, si la escuela te agrada y qué opciones de ayuda financiera tienen�, dijo Rodríguez Dante Holloway, consejero de admisión con la Universidad Estatal de Oregón, dijo que los estudiantes no se deben desani­mar si la matriculación en las escuelas es muy alta.
“Que apliquen. Muchas escuelas tienen cuotas que se cancelan y bastante ayuda finan­ciera�, dijo Holloway.

Which roughly (and I mean VERY roughly translates to):

When looking for a university, students should ask what kind of support services are offered and what financial aid options are available. Danté goes on to say that students shouldn’t be discouraged from looking, even if the schools they are considering are big/hard to get into (enrollment is high…). I think he talks about how if a student doesn’t get in initially, the school may have students cancel and still have aid available.
