OSU Is Coming To Your Area!

There’s been a few emails coming in regarding when OSU will be on the road visiting high schools and attending college fairs. The Recruit Team of the Office of Admissions has a very aggressive schedule this fall and may be coming to an area close to you in the near future! We recruit across the nation, even globally!

PNACAC Summer Tour at OSU

Yesterday a group of about forty high school/Independent counselors from the Pacific Northwest and beyond who are on the Pacific Northwest Association of College Admission Counseling College Tour stopped at OSU to get a feel for our campus. I was able to run around behind them and shoot some footage…Enjoy!

In a previous post, James mentioned that the recruit team attended the 2008 PNACAC Conference in Spokane, Washington. The admissions staff presented at the conference and I took some footage of the the presentation. Check it out!

A Moment to Breathe…Now, Back to Work!!

Wow! It has been an age since we have posted. Sorry for the inactivity, folks! We have been very busy around here between wrap up overviews, accepting ATDs, helping students get the last bits of their applications sent in and our regional PNACAC (Pacific Northwest Association of College Admission Counseling) conference in Spokane which the recruit staff presented jointly at; we haven’t had a moment to breathe.

I’ll clear out some of the news items that have been floating about here in Corvallis with the promise of a full report of the PNACAC conference and our presentation to come.

Admissions:

We have finalized a long time in coming Degree Partnership Agreement with Clackamas Community College.

ATDs for the fall are still being accepted. Remember that you must attend a START program to officially enroll and register for classes, you must pay your ATD to attend START.

Academics:

Very important findings and accomplishments by OSU faculty and students have been in the news recently. Oregon cheeses have arrived on the national cheese scene, the OSU Wind Ensemble will perform at Carnegie Hall this summer, and acidified sea water upwellings are creating a huge problem for Pacific Coast marine life.

Athletics:

A great story on CNNSI.com about new hoops coach, Craig Robinson and Saori Haruguchi has qualified for the olympics in the 200 m Individual Medley.
