The student- athletes and others involved in these service trips have a common goal of making a difference and to inspire Beaver Nation to do the same. Beavers Without Borders Macedonia 2011

 

Some of the highlights of these include the experiences of Dominic Glover as he traveled to Macedonia, motivational words by Ryan McCants while visiting  the ancient Roman city of Stobi,  Roberto Nelson getting 20 stitches after shattering a backboard in a pick-up game, visiting the U.S. Ambassador of Macedonia’s  home and the building of a second story to a family in need.

Beavers Without Borders is an inspiring service program giving student athletes the opportunity to travel around the world and not only learn about other cultures and the stories they hold, but also to be able to share their own. As a relatively new program, I hope it can grow to not only expand across OSU’s campus, but to others across the nation as well. A big thank you to all of those involved in making Beavers Without Borders possible and to all of the student-athletes who gave their time and dedication to service.
