Every summer, the Theatre Arts department performs a Shakespeare classic with the Memorial Union quad in the background. This year, the department presents As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s festive comedies.

As You Like It “recounts the tale of several misguided and misdirected lovers who eventually find joy and peace in the arms of their truly truest loves. Filled with some of Shakespeare’s best-known characters (the vibrant heroine Rosalind, the clownish Touchstone, the melancholy Jaques), beautiful songs (‘Blow, blow thou winter wind . . . ‘), and some of Shakespeare’s most famous words (‘All the world’s a stage . . .’).”

This year’s performances are taking place on Wednesday, August 3rd – Sunday, August 7th and Wednesday, August 10th – Sunday, August 14th. Tickets are required to watch the production.
