OSU's 14th Anual Bennys

Almost 40 Beavers were recognized for their accomplishments, with wrestler Clayton Jack and gymnast Leslie Mak taking home the Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards. Joan D and Ken Austin were presented with the Martin Chaves Lifetime Achievement Award as two of the university’s strongest supporters, including their $10million gift to the College of Business, where the new COB building will bear their name. In addition to individual awards, the Wrestling and Softball teams were acknowledged as the Male and Female Teams of the Year.

CONGRATULATIONS ALEX BECK!

Alex was chosen as the OSU Faulty/Staff of the Week

Alex works in the Tour Office of Admissions. She coordinates several student workers who give tours to visitors and guests on campus. Alex is the consummate Beaver Believer, is always positive and high-energy, regardless of the situation. Alex will receive an OSU gift bag from Samaritan Select and will be considered for the Grand Prize, a trip to the Bay area to watch the OSU vs. Cal game on February 7, 2008. Alex was nominated by Deanne Wilcox, Department of Mathematics. Diane is inspired by Alex’s ability to keep moving forward.
