1.  Sign up for START session (Fall Term Only) Summer Advising and Registration Program

2.  Apply for on-campus housing

3.  Room Selection

May 28^th – June 2^nd: new OSU students who completed a housing application before February 1, 2013 may select rooms

June 5^th – June 17^th: new OSU students with completed housing applications may select rooms.

4. Attend CONNECT: new student program designed to help you transition into OSU’s community

For those that haven’t paid the Advanced Tuition Deposit (ATD) you can still do so.  The ATD is a $200 deposit if you intend to enroll.   You will need this to sign up for START.

Go Beavers! Spring practice is well under way and as the team gears up for the new season they will hold a special Spring Game on April 26th at Reser Stadium. Fans can watch the game at 7:00pm PST on the Pac-12 Network or join us in Corvallis to cheer on their favorite team in black & orange.  Oregon State Football will showcase what’s ahead for fall bringing back many returning players, over 302 combined starts, making OSU one of the most experienced teams in the conference.

For seniors in high school, it is that time of year where graduation is just around the corner and making a college decision is even closer. Now is also the time for juniors and sophomores to begin their college search. While Oregon State University has many events happening on campus for students to visit, many of us in the Office of Admissions will also be on the road spreading the good word of Beaver Nation to students and their families at high school visits and college fairs around the western half of the U.S. These are great opportunities to ask questions to help you make those final decisions or to gather information as you start your college search process.

Below is more information on the Spring 2013 National Association for College Admission Counseling fairs that OSU will be present at. If we are in your neighborhood, please be sure to stop by and learn more about OSU. Before attending, be sure to pre-register for the college fair. These are “scanner” fairs, meaning instead of filling out all those cards to get more information, you simply register, print out a bar code and let us scan away! Recently, an article was published by the Wine Spectator showcasing Oregon State’s efforts to recycle pomace; or what is leftover after grapes are harvested and pressed for wine. Yanyun Zhao, a professor here at OSU, is working to transform this waste into baking flour and other sustainable products.  This substitute, both healthy and earth conscience, is just one example of the new developments that are being discovered here in Beaver Nation.  As one of only two schools in the United States that have all four designated grants for land, sea, sun and space; Oregon State University continues to be a top tier research institute allowing students to not just sit in a classroom but be active in their field of study.
