Earlier this month Oregon State Students competed in the annual Formula SAE competition with over 100 other teams from countries around the world. Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela and the United States all sent teams to the competition at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI.
Out of the the 100 plus teams Oregon State received a score of 876.6 clinching the top spot. Technical University of Munich finished second and Universitat Stuttgart finished in third.
Throughout the four day competition, students and machine were judged on a series of static and dynamic events including: technical inspection, cost, presentation and engineering design, solo performance trials, and high performance track endurance.
