The Oregon University System (OUS) Tour is back again for another year. Some of you may have noticed in years past that admissions officers from Oregon’s seven public universities have traveled together to visit high schools statewide in the fall and that we didn’t do that this year. That is because there have been a few changes made to the tour. To better serve students and to get them prepared for college earlier, we have moved the tour to take place in the Spring and subsequently it will focus on high school juniors.
This year, we look forward to meeting and talking with students from nearly 200 high school across the state of Oregon. During the tour, students were able to connect with at least seven Oregon public universities as well as learn about financial aid and core college requirements that can help and inspire them while planning for the future.
The OUS Tour starts March 31st and will run through May 2nd. Each week representatives from Oregon’s seven public universities put their rivalries aside and travel together in a 15 passenger van for the good of the students in the state of Oregon. Some of the many benefits of Oregon residents pursuing a public university in Oregon include; in state tuition, a variety of majors and learning environments and nationally recognized academic programs.
