OSU Celebrates Black History Month 2014

Only a few days are left in January, so be sure to get your admissions applications in by Feb. 1! February also marks Black History Month and various student organizations have planned out a series of fun and informative events all throughout the month in celebration. One event, hosted by the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center, is called “Jeopardy and Wings” on Thursday, February 27th at 5:00-6:30pm. This event will provide a fun and educational platform in the form of a game show that will educate participants around contributions of black people in America. Light refreshments will be provided and this will take place in the temporary BCC on the 4th floor of Snell Hall.

Here are some other events that the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center will be hosting in celebration:

  • Monday, Feb. 17th: A Taste of Multicultural Foods, Snell Kitchen, 4:30-6:00pm
  • Tuesday, Feb. 18th: Figures, Facts and Identities to Match: BCC Snell 427, 5:30-6:30pm
  • Thursday, Feb. 20th: Black/Polynesian Panthers, APCC, 5:30-7:30pm
  • Tuesday, Febr. 25th: Black History Month Dinner, MU Ballroom, 5:00-7:00pm
