Tomorrow, June 11th, will mark the grand opening of Oregon State University’s Basketball Center. The $15 million OSU Basketball Center is 34,500 square-feet, four stories and features two regulation basketball courts on the first and third floors, locker rooms, satellite training and medical areas, service and mechanical space, and coach and program staff offices on the second and fourth floors that offer panoramic views of the basketball courts. Located directly behind Gill Coliseum, the main entrance features an OSU Basketball Hall of Fame highlighting coaches and players from the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Men’s basketball head coach Craig Robinson expresses the excitement surrounding the new facility and women’s head coach Scott Rueck shares how the new facility will be a game-changer:
It will allow us to operate and meet the needs to student-athletes in ways we never have and will be a vital tool in allowing them to become the best basketball players they can be.
Tomorrow’s grand opening will take place at 3:00pm with a program and ribbon cutting followed by tours of the venue. The program is free and for questions, please contact the Our Beaver Nation office at 541.737.2370.
