Oregon State University alumnus Linus Pauling (Chemical Engineering) was born on February 28th, 1901. As one of OSU’s most noted alumni, Linus Pauling is the only person to have won two unshared Nobel Prizes and one of only two people awarded Nobel Prizes in different fields.
