This week, OSU Pac-12 play will begin against the state of Washington! The Women’s Basketball team will take on the University of Washington Huskies this Thursday (12/29) and the Washington State University Cougs on Saturday (12/21) home at Gill Coliseum while Craig Robinson and the Men’s team will travel to Seattle and Pullman on those same dates.
Here is a summary of the season so far:
Men’s Basketball Team
- Overall 10-2, Home 7-1, Away 2-1, Neutral 1-1 (best start in 22 years)
- Chris Brown to transfer from OSU
- Ahmad Starks and Jared Cunningham each named a Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
- Jared Cunningham named a candidate for the 2012 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award
Women’s Basketball Team:
- Overall 9-2, Home 5-1, Away 4-1, Neutral 0-1
- Patricia Bright named Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Weed for December 5-11
- Set school record for the largest margin of victory in school history with a 96-32 win over Western Oregon University
