The OSU Admissions Blog staff have been getting a ton of questions and comments regarding last year’s African American Leadership Conference which was held on the OSU Campus and how to attend this year’s event. Because we love our readers and answering your questions…Here are the five “W’s” regarding this year’s conference:

(African American Youth Leadership Conference)Where: Linn-Benton Community College
When: Tuesday, April 15, 2008
Who: All Middle & High School Students from Corvallis/Albany & surrounding areas
Why: To promote positive youth development in African/African American youth and multicultural youth of African descent by:
• Raising awareness on how to achieve personal goals
• Emphasizing the value of education
• Empowering future leadership (responsibility)
• Establishing a sense of community
• Increasing personal self-esteem and affirm cultural awareness
