OSU in Top 100 for LGBT students

Oregon State University has been recognized as one of the 100 best campuses for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) students by the “The Advocate College Guide for LGBT Students.”
“It’s a terrific honor to be named one of the 100 top universities for LGBT students,” said Steven Leider, program coordinator of LGBT Outreach and Services at OSU. “We have grown amazingly fast in this area, and it’s great to be recognized for our progress.”
“As one of our recent graduates said, we have gone from 0 to 60 in just five years in terms of the resources we offer on campus,” Leider said. Part of that growth was a covenant signed last fall by President Ed Ray and OSU Pride Center leaders ensuring the existence of the Pride Center in perpetuity. OSU is the only university in the country to have such a covenant.
The Admissions office is becoming more inclusive. See details at this previous post.
