Big Beaver Sports weekend

Congratulations to Kirk Walker, coach of the women’s softball team, who notched his career victories #400, 401, 402, and 403 over the weekend. The women currently have a 25 game winning streak which eclipses last year’s team record of 22.

The men’s baseball team swept Utah Valley State in a 3-game series at Goss Stadium. Game scores were 7-5, 9-4, and 13-6.

The women’s gymnastics team hosted the Pac-10 Championships at Gill Coliseum. OSU placed third behind Stanford and UCLA. Freshman Tasha Smith won two individual titles in the vault and the floor exercise, and senior Chrissy Lamun took second place honors on the uneven bars. OSU freshman Jami Lanz received co-Freshman of the Year honors sharing the award with UCLA’s Ariana Berlin.

No update on the Collegiate Debate tournament held on campus over the weekend. I’ll post when I find out something.
