Turnaround Time on Undergraduate Applications for Fall Term

February 24th, 2006

Jen posted a popular question this time of year:
“Can you tell me approximately when decisions are made and applicants notified?”

When talking about undergraduate applications (first year and transfer students), we try to send decisions within 2-3 weeks on a completed file (all transcripts, application fee, test scores, etc. are submitted). For students who submitted an application right at the February 1 deadline, we do our best to get those decision letters out quickly, but understanding that the volume around that time may cause a slight delay (a few days). So if you sent a completed application that we have had for more than 3 weeks, give our office a call and we’ll see what’s holding it up.

We include the residency status of all admits in the Letter of Admission. For more information about the Oregon University System rules regarding residency for tuition purposes, click here.

I’ll post more later on the graduate admissions process.
