OSU receives grant to research alternative fuels

February 14th, 2006

The recent State of the Union address outlilned the federal government’s new push for alternatives to petroleum-based fuels, etc. Oregon State University is looking to advance the timeline of such fuels from research to production through the Sun Grant, one of the four federal research designations that Oregon State holds (others being Land Grant, Sea Grant, and Space Grant).

OSU is already utilizing biodiesel in campus shuttles and other projects. See the G-T for a recent article.
