Sustainability at OSU

Posted January 30th, 2006 by Blake

Sustainability is becoming a popular catchphrase at OSU. With the introduction of biodiesel and hybrids in the motor pool to the immense paper recycling program on campus, departments are beginning to see the value in paying attention to how they do business. This GT article highlights part of this movement, but a great place to learn more specifically about it is at http://oregonstate.edu/sustainability/.

Here’s also another cool project on the horizon.

Renew, Reuse, Recycle!

i heard that biofuels are just as polluting as diesel/gas. Is this true? I know it at least has the advantage of not using a non-renewable resource, but perhaps electric is better if its non-polluting and renewable.
