The IT Infrastructure Governance Committee helps set investment priorities for University-wide and multi-organizational infrastructure, which includes network, telecom and shared computing capacity (for research or other applications). The Committee sets standards of operation for servers and local networks as well as standards and expectations for identity management. It formulates and brings forward policy recommendations to the Vice Provost for Information Services and to the IT Governance Strategy Committee. With the Instructional Information Technology Governance Committee, the Infrastructure Committee has responsibility for the Technology Resources Fund (TRF) grant process.
- Develop a roadmap for infrastructure investment needs for the next 2-4 years to meet the University’s strategic goals.
- Revise TRF process (with Instruction Committee)
- Research computing proposal for shared storage and computational capacity: including related organizational and financial models or policies
- Review funding models for network infrastruture investments to support research growth
