Focus Area 1: Understanding Policy
An employee’s classification determines which policy to reference.
Based upon the employee’s classification, a different process is used.
While the forms are different, the underlying principles of an appraisal are the same.

- The SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
- The CGE Collective Bargaining Agreement
Classification Types
Unrepresented Employees:
- Unclassified Staff – (Faculty Handbook)
- Faculty with rank
- Faculty without rank
- Professional faculty

- Faculty records and periodic review

Represented Employees:
