Overview

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Understand four areas in which to focus for high performance outcomes.
  • Be introduced to principles, tools and techniques that promote feedback and continuous communications.
Topic 1 starts here...

On-going, regular communication requires engaging in conversation with employees that continues to build a trusting relationship, lets them know how well they are doing in their job, and supports them as an individual in their development. These conversations are intitiated from the performance expectations and standards that have been established, and can go beyond this to further communicate the employee's duties.

Developing a "toolbox" to assist in this process will help you become an outstanding support for your employees. The ability to work with your employees in a way that produces and sustains high performance directly impacts the bottom line. This section is designed to provide you with the basic principles, tools and techniques to assist you in promoting feedback and continuous communication.

How do you rate in inspiring high performance?

These four focus areas will be examined later. First, let's do a self-assessment to determine how you rate.

Four Focus Areas to Achieve High Performance

  1. Inspire action that is meaningful, purposeful and practical
  2. Facilitate learning and a learning environment
  3. Encourage feedback on performance
  4. Build confidence and self-worth
