* For fixed-term contracts:
- 9-month: the end date must match a term end date.
- 12-month: the end date may not exceed the end of the upcoming fiscal year (June 30)
** Temporary staff employees are not allowed to exceed the equivalent of six calendar months (1,040 hours) in a twelve-month period. If a temporary worker has more than one appointment, all appointments combined must not exceed 1,040 hours over a 12-month period, unless s/he is replacing an employee on leave.
