J-1 and Post Doctoral Employees

Medical and Dental
J-1 and post doctoral employees working at OSU, who do not qualify for an employer contribution (working .50 FTE for 90 consecutive days or more) are eligible for medical and dental coverage negotiated through the Public Employees' Benefit Board (PEBB), on a self-pay basis. Life and disability plans are not available to those on J-1 and post doc appointments. J-1 and post doctoral employees need to contact Employee Benefits for additional information on how to sign-up for coverage on a self-pay basis.
