Double Degree and Dual Major: The Difference

Double Major (or Dual Major):

• One or more majors on same degree
• Get one diploma with both majors on it
• E.g., BS in both CS and ECE

Double Degree (do not call it a Dual Degree, there is no such thing):

• Must also be getting, or have gotten, a full degree in something else
• Requires at least 32 additional credits
• Get two diplomas
• E.g., BS in Sustainability; BS in Natural Resources
