APAA - Academic Programs

The Academic Programs unit of the Office of Academic Programs, Assessment, and Accreditation assists with, coordinates, and facilitates changes to curriculum, the creation of new courses and programs, and with programmatic terminations and suspensions.  We advise and approve articulation agreements and coordinate undergraduate academic program reviews.  Our mission is to serve faculty, students, staff, and administrators by providing information and guidance on all matters related to the academic programs and curriculum of Oregon State University.

Our Curriculum Coordinators oversee Category I and Category II proposals.  Category I proposals are major curricular changes that require approval at the state level, and Category II proposals are required to propose new courses, revise existing courses, drop courses, or make changes to majors, minors, options, and certificates.  The online Curricular Proposal System (CPS) is designed to make both Category I and Category II proposals move to final approval transparently and efficiently.
