| An institutional TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is administered by the English Language Institute at the end of each academic term, usually on a Saturday. All students in the Intensive English Program, including CAP students, are automatically registered for the test. There is no charge to ELI students for the test.
The institutional TOEFL is a paper-based test. It consists of three sections: Listening, Structure, and Reading. Scores on the test are reported to OSU only and normally cannot be used in support of admission to any other college or university.
The ELI no longer offers the institutional TOEFL to those who are not currently students at the English Language Institute. We encourage those who need a TOEFL score to register for the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) at http://www.ets.org/bin/getprogram.cgi?test=toefl&redirect=format
OSU is a designated iBT Test Site. Check the ETS website above for dates that the iBT will be offered at OSU.
