Bioactive compounds from the Forest By G.H. Constantine, Ph.D. and J.J. Karchesy, Ph.D. ABSTRACT Natural products chemistry investigations has yielded many important therapeutic agents, food additives (diet supplements) and herbicides/insecticides. Our efforts recently have focused on the evaluation of secondary plant chemicals for use as veterinary anti-infectives, algacides, anti-oxidants, anti-TB agents and cancer chemotherapy agents.
