EU Fisheries Agreements (1993-1997) Geographic Information System

ABSTRACT
The poster presents EU Fisheries Agreements. As has been shown in other fields where spatially related problems occur, a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) approach may be appropriate. The output contains three different maps which show the nature and chronological synthesis of the agreements, the main species caught and the fleet and employment under EU Fisheries Agreements (1993-1997).
These maps are part of a cost benefit analysis report of EUFA requested by the Council of Ministers.The Fisheries Agreements data results are published in the public domain for the first time.
