NASA's Earth and Space Science Fellowship. 2007-2008. This fellowship will support my Ph.D. research to investigate the mass balance of Antarctic Penninsula Ice Shelves using radar and laser satellite altimetry as well as coupled ice-ocean models. For more information about the award, click here.

• Physical Oceanography Sub-Discipline Representative for the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS). May 2007 - Present.
  
  
• Student Advisory Committee (Chair), September 2004-September 2005. Lead a group of eight students who worked with the college deans and staff to address student concerns and to enhance student's academic and professional experience.
  • Organized a speaker series to host scientists and alumni from various disciplines to discuss careers in science.
  • Created a quarterly newsletter to distribute information from the seminar series, for those unable to attend, as well as to communicate the progress of objectives set by the advisory committee.
  • Co-organized weekly events for students aimed at increasing knowledge of research activities amongst students in an informal, social setting.
